Ace Scratchings have supplied another subtly designed pack. Not quite as understated as the sublime Ace Q Pork Crackling and a smaller bag 42g.

Quite a musty smell, a mature skin is the gut feeling I get. Excellent randomness of sizes and shapes. Not too salty, a walk in the park for a bag of this size. A very big layer of fat on some pieces, which at first worries me, but a surprisingly un-fatty taste which is good. Then a real tooth breaker, excellent! A pleasant surprise in today's health and safety world. For once, the warning on the back of the pack could be legally necessary rather than some flimsy marketing gimmick. If pepperami is a bit of an animal, these are the whole thing. No Hairs! hmmmm, well a couple would be nice. The odd piece has a bit of meat and this is to be expected with a large layer of fat. Lots of dust at the bottom, salty and flavoursome, which is good at the end of a small bag, but would require you to buy a fresh pint of beer if the pack were bigger.

Thanks for the free samples and accompanying letter.
