Man celebrates 35-year pub crawl with 50,000th pint!

A man who has spent 35 years on a pub crawl of the UK celebrated by sinking his 50,0000th pint. Peter Hill, 63, said he has had a pint in every county in Britain, travelling 320,000 miles since 1984 to do so. The retired engineer of Sandwell, West Midlands, thinks he must have been to more than 21,000 pubs with his ‘boozy band of brothers’ the Black Country Ale Tairsters. For the last two years, the gang have spent their time attempting to drink a pint on 70 islands off the coast of the UK. Peter said: ‘I’ve enjoyed myself, I’ve loved every minute. ‘It’s taken me to places I’ve never dreamed of going to and trying beers I never knew existed.
