After all these years... A first for me. I was sit After all these years... A first for me. I was sitting on the sofa watching TV last night. The lights were low, I had a nice little glass of Mr Grant's whisky, and I was tucking into another bag of lockdown purchased Q Pork Scratchings. So far, every bag has started off with an absolutely enormous piece and this bag was no different. I looked at it carefully to decide how to approach the task ahead. You don't want to cut your gums or break your teeth. I could see a part that looked dark, like a little bit of meat still stuck to the fat, like you see some times. That's where I was going to start. First bite, seems hard, roll it around, try from a different angle, god this is hard, I can't crunch it. Know your limits, don't bite down too hard. It got to the point where I decided that I could not eat it. I'd scraped off all the softer parts, and all that was left was the inedible rock of cooked meat. I dropped the piece into the empty bag and thought nothing more of it. _ The next morning I looked in the bag, found the piece. I thought I'd see what a super hard piece of deep Fried meat looks like. _ It looks like a bone. It looks like a knee joint. My first bone from a bag of scratchings ever. I always thought that the warning on the back of the bag was just a legal safety thing. I was wrong.
