It might be a surprise to some readers to know that this beverage (beer) was only introduced to England in the latter half of the fourteenth century and that it arrived thanks to Dutch immigrants.

Editor’s Note: Well, all I can say to the Dutch is ‘Thank You’ you have added to the rich tapestry that we call England!
