Pub review: Of the four pubs in Theydon Bois, The Queen Victoria is the largest and has the largest outside space. It’s especially nice on a summer’s evening, to sit in the garden, opposite the village green.

There are a few bars inside the pub, lots of nooks and crannies, and if you are tall, beware, there are a few low ceilings. Real ale is served and kept as it should be.
