Homemade Pork Scratchings Recipe

The First attempt. Hmmm? THis didn’t go as I thought it would!

This is a recipe for how to make pork scratchings at home in your oven. A recipe might be too strong a term as there is only one ingredient. Maybe we should call it a method. Anyway here is our first attempt at making homemade pork scratchings at home, in the oven.

Homemade Pork Scratchings Recipe

Personally, I wouldn't bother, try our other version, it's much better.

Ingredients
  

  • 855 grams Pork Rind for Crackling

The other stuff you should already have

  • 5 grams Salt for flavour

Instructions
 

  • Morrisons Supermarket sells the skin by itself, so get in there.
  • Without the wrapping, it's ready scored!
  • Roll it out, stick it on a baking tray, whack the temperature up high, and stick it in the oven.
  • Pull it out, check it, take a look.

  • Bin the burned bits, keep the nice bits,
  • This is the fat that drained off what we made.
