For readers of this blog, bad scratchings would seem like an obvious oversight. Simply don’t let burnt scratchings leave the kitchen. So from our point of view this is a clear case of how you can spoil the ship for a ha’p’orth of tar. But forget that. So what. The scratchings were burnt. Who cares. The fact is that this pub actually does them, which is a massive thumbs up! phew. Well done Woodstock Arms Oxford. Just try a bit harder next time.
